GENERAL ASSEMBLY SOCIAL HOUR
The venue of the General Assembly is usually alternated between the hometown of the President and Richmond, Virginia near the Huguenot Library in Midlothian. This is usually a three day event with meetings, tours and formal dinners.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
WHO MAY ENTER:
College and Graduate Students
All applicants must submit proof that they are either currently enrolled or have been accepted to a college or university. High school seniors must send a copy of a letter of acceptance from their college or university. Students currently enrolled in a college or university must send a copy of their latest transcript or a letter of recommendation by one of their professors.
WHAT TO ENTER:
An Essay
Each entrant must write an essay on the history and/or impact of the Huguenots in Europe, Colonial America, the Colony of Virginia or the settlement at Manakintowne, Virginia.
DEADLINE:
April 1, 2024
SUBMISSION:
Two typed copies. Entries generated on a computer should include a disk.

The $2500 awards will be paid directly to the individual winners for use in further education. The Society reserves the right to first publication of the winning essays, in the publication, The Huguenot. The author will retain all other literary rights in the manuscript.
BUSINESS MEETINGS
Meetings of the Virginia state branch are held at headquarters twice a year, and the national organization meets here from time to time. Other branches meet in their own states (Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi).
